School holidays took the family on a fishing and touristy adventure. Started with camp at Jabiru and getting out to Ubirr for the sunset and nibbles with kids. Introduced Kayla to rock climbing and she was off with her mum giving her the nickname mountain goat.
We snuck out to Jim Jim falls the next day, Kayla was in her element once again taking off jumping through the rock fields. While the young fella wasn’t impressed with the rocks but loved the swim and chasing the small fish with the go pro.
Finally got to get the boat wet, we headed to East Alligator for some exploring. Got to say it the best part of the world the East Alligator, easy on the eye and the kids always catch more fish than me when we go there. Found a few schools of barra and had heaps of fish hit the deck. Nothing huge with the largest measuring in at 62cm, was epic to see not only barra but the amount of bait still holding up in the system.
Over all the kids have the bug for camping and fishing and are on my case every week to get out. Which make it easy to convince the wife.
