Fishing Fresh Finniss
Well was an exciting weekend with the Palmerston Game Fishing Club, suppose to go blue water but the wind stopped that idea. Was decided to head to Fresh Finniss and glad we did as Angie finally got her first legal Barra of 73cm on a Blinky’s Lures that I won in Bereaved Parent Support NT – SIDS and Kids NT online auction.
We arrived late to the comp and had a chase up to find out where the fish were hanging as there were a few boats on the water. There were fish around if you could find them but not a lot were hungry or even interested. Most were deep amongst snags or holding close to near by structure. We used vibes and weighted small rubbers to tease them out, but most were not interested. We worked hard for our fish and got rewarded with some decent whacks and hook ups. We manage to wrangle up about 5 fish for the day and half. 73cm which my wife caught was the biggest of the trip.
Finally the kids didn’t out fish me for once but the sledges were still rolling. Want to also send out a thanks to Brad from Get Hookd Oz taking some photos of the boat and fish.
